That’s the motto of F.A. FARM in Ferndale. Owner Walter Haugen brings an anthropological perspective to his farm, often considering agriculture’s 10,000 year history when weighing his options and developing production techniques on the farm. F.A. Farm is a Food To Bank On participant, producing fresh, local, & sustainably grown produce for the Ferndale Foodbank.

JERICHO FARM is a small family farm located in Eastern Skagit County just off the beautiful North Cascades Highway 20. Owners Rebecca & Andrew are committed to feeding their community fresh, sustainably-grown produce. Jericho Farm offers a wide variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers at the Concrete Farmers Market, through a growing CSA program, and direct from the farm. Please call before visiting.

MOONDANCE FARM is a sustainable family farm nestled in the foothills of Mount Baker. The farm's focus is to grow nutritious, organic food in unison with family and community. Moondance vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers are grown naturally and are offered seasonally. Moondance Farm specializes in ethnic and heirloom varieties.

  MOORMAN MANOR FARM

MOORMAN MANOR FARM is a small family-owned farm dedicated to responsible land stewardship. The farm maintains very small flocks of free-range turkeys, ducks, and chickens to minimize the impact on the land. Eggs are available March through October, green ducklings June through August, and turkeys in November. Customers are welcome to call to schedule a visit or to reserve ducklings or turkeys.

Craig Lavallee of NANDAÑO FARM grew vegetables for over 25 years before joining the Food To Bank On Program in 2005, which now supports him in delivering fresh food weekly to the Bellingham Food Bank. On a one-acre plot, Nandaño Farm produces an array of vegetables including salad mix, broccoli, kale, carrots, green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, and one of his favorites, basil−both Italian and Thai varieties.

RABBIT FIELDS FARM focuses primarily on providing the highest quality fruits & vegetables to the members of its popular CSA program. The farm is also a member of the Food To Bank On project, and delivers fresh, organic produce to the Sean Humphrey House every week. In addition, their produce can be found at the Co-op,
Terra Organica, and local restaurants.

TERRA VERDE is a one year old diversified vegetable, flower and herb garden currently located in Deming Washington. Farmers Amy & Sküter marvel at what a wonderful teacher this garden has been, constantly showing them new ways to invest in sun, soil and sweat. Everything from Terra Verde is chemical & pesticide free, and in its freshest possible state.

BIG SKY GARDEN has been supplying fresh, organic vegetables to Whatcom County since 1993. Their produce is available seasonally at the Community Food Co-op’s Swan Café and Terra Organica in the Bellingham Public Market. Big Sky Gardens is best known for their seasonal salad greens mix, but other crops include baby spinach, curly endive, radicchio, green bell pepper, and winter squash.

  CEDARVILLE FARM

“If we can help create a more viable agricultural economy in Whatcom County, that might contribute in some small way... to keeping a little more farmland in farming. So I think that’s why it’s important. It’s not earthshaking, but it’s just one small way a community can help itself.”

CEDARVILLE FARM is Whatcom County’s oldest and largest Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm, providing over 115 families each season with a great variety of startlingly fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers, organically grown on fertile soil adjacent to the Nooksack River. Customers can sign up for a share, or find Cedarville’s produce at the Bellingham Farmers Market. “We look forward to putting our delicious and wholesome produce onto your table.”

They grow specialty European vegetables that are stunning in color and taste. Uprising’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is geared toward low-income families and accepts food stamps.
